ABOUT US
The Fitness Motivator was founded by Sherry Velthouse. Here's Sherry's story... "My name is Sherry Velthouse and my goal is to help you improve your overall physical condition so that you can feel good about yourself and get into the best shape of your life. With my background in physical education (B.A. from Hope College, Holland MI) and certifications in Personal Training from NASM (the National Academy of Sports Medicine),TRX , Boot Camp and my dedication to motivating women by using creative, personalized work out techniques, I will be your partner in creating a better you."

OUR APPROACH
Our objective is to make getting into shape understandable, sustainable and fun. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start with all the new programs, equipment and claims that are out there today.

We can help you take the first step by getting to know you and your fitness goals through a free fitness assessment where we determine such factors as resting heart rate, percent body fat and body measurements—in other words, we determine where you’re at.

The next step is determining where you want to be. Together we come up with a safe plan that will work for you. This plan will include exercises that will help you lose weight and tone your body through increased cardiovascular capacity, strength, agility, flexibility, stability and balance. Once we’ve determined these things we get you started on your new adventure in healthy living.

The beauty of working with The Fitness Motivator is that you never have to step foot in a gym, health club or group class. I come to you with all the equipment, motivation and expertise you need. If you like to work out outdoors, we can put together sessions that include walking, hiking, biking or exercises at the park or on the beach. If you prefer the comfort of your own home, we can work with resistance bands, TRX straps, weights, balance pads, stability balls, the Bosu ball and more. 

Where and when you workout is totally up to you. Work out as many days a week as you wish, at the time you prefer to do it.  Scheduling is flexible and easy. Even on a day when you’re not scheduled for a workout, we keep you on track through motivational texts, informational links on our website and our personal interest in your success.

All new clients of The Fitness Motivator must print the following forms, and fill both out completely before your first session!!
